Welcome to Paros
Paros is part of the Cyclades Islands. It has 10,000 inhabitants and 120km coastline. Parikia is the capital where the famous church of Katapoliani, one of Greece's most important Byzantine monuments impressively preserved, the Venetian castle, and the Archaeological Museum with its exhibits from the ancient history of Paros and Antiparos, are found. To the north of the island you will find Naoussa famous for its whitewashed alleys, picturesque fishing port and beautiful nearby beaches.
The island is full of beautiful sandy beaches, crystal clear waters with rich underwater landscape and amazing sunsets. Along with gorgeous monasteries, the famous Panagia Ekatontapiliani Virgins Mary hundred doors church and archeological sites like Delion temple. Explore the Island by taxi, car, motorbike, scooter, bicycle or by using the air conditioned bus service. Along the way you will experience traditional village life, amazing beaches and on a clear day you will be able to catch a glimpse of the surrounding islands of Naxos to the east and Antiparos to the west; a jewel studded with golden sandy beaches and surrounded by aquamarine sparkling waters.
When done exploring there are plenty of tavernas, restaurants, ouzeries, beachclubs, nightclubs, classical music concerts, local theatres and outdoor cinemas. All this, along with warm hospitality, excellent tourist facilities, rich cultural life, cosmopolitan ambience but also the possibility of seclusion makes Paros worth a visit.
